Thank you sponsors

I have three new sponsors that have joined the Gasolene team. In no particular order they are:

1. Penrite Oil - their quality oils outperform cheaper products.

2. DW Customs - A feature I shot for them about a mercury build will soon air. It will highlight the importance of good engineering and the methods employed in their shop to build legitimate customs.

3. Dukes Bodyworks - a state of the art collision repair centre that is also committed to quality repairs for their clients with minimum disruption to the owners schedule. They specialize in insurance smash repairs.

I would like to give a big thank you to all our sponsors who have demonstrated their support of a TV show that has grown over the past few years. Their support has sent a buzz through the Gasolene team and we look forward to filming another great season!

New Zeeland

Kia Ora folks, I notice that Gasolene is now screening in New Zeeland.

You can check it out on Stratos, Sundays at 9.30pm, TTV Auckland and Wellington Fridays at 8.30 pm.

What do the viewers think? We are producing series 3. It will again host the greatest metal worker in the world, Tom Peach. You can view some of his work here on my blog and this website.

We are planning for series 4. I would love to cross the Tasman with the team. I bet there are some great auto stories we could film and share. :-)

Series 3 and Number 6

We are gearing up for a new series on Television. Number 3 will hit the screens around December 2008. Thank you for your patience with all the repeats that you must be seeing.

If you have been watching the Gasolene series, you will notice that each episode briefly showcases some of the work by Peach and Tommasini. Their DVD collection has expanded to hours of commentary, instructional video and detailed advice from the masters of metal working.

Number 6 is now available for purchase and covers how to make a door skin and steel welding. It is a great follow up to number 5 that covered edge wiring, weheel arch return and basic mud guards.

Metalworkers Peach and Tommasini

I have uploaded my first video to GoogleVideo. In this small clip, Tom and Peter debunk the myth that you cannot make a complex car panel without elaborate machines. They illustrate this with a Holden Monaro rear panel that they constructed using just hand-tools and a single sheet of metal.

Their work has been regularly showcased with a spot on my television show "Gasolene". You can see this by turning your dial to Channel 31 or just clicking on this link. I reckon it is great that Peach and Tomassini have freely shared some of their trade secret. You can see that they really enjoy the fine art of crafting cars and vehicle technology.

Contact me if you are interested in viewing more of their work or interested in purchasing a DVD.
